A little strategic over-swiping
When we saw something good, neither of us was willing to leave it to chance.
We matched on Hinge, and then—just to stack the odds—we each liked the other on a second app too. Our first date was at Bowlero, because Jordyn correctly believed an activity always beats sitting across a dinner table. The lane time ran out; the conversation did not.
Life took the scenic route before our second date arrived. When we found our way back to one another, it felt as though no time had passed at all. We made it official at Hawkers on October 3, 2023, and the best part has been how natural everything feels.
We built a home together in Wellington—complete with a backyard for Chewy and, at long last, the retirement of Tim’s beloved and frankly indefensible red-orange couch. On December 12, we are making the easy, good thing permanent.
